| Meet the Faculty and Staff As Sr. Patient Service Coordinator, Kim Word is the one person that sees absolutely every patient that walks through the Diabetes Center door. Kim's position leaves her with many responsibilities, to ensure the Diabetes Center runs smoothly every day. Kim will help the patients through the check in process, ensuring that the staff here at the diabetes center has the appropriate background information for every patient. When your appointment is through, Kim will assist you in checking out and scheduling a follow up visit with any member of our staff. When the time comes for you to visit us again, Kim will call and confirm your appointment. She will instruct you on all appropriate information you must have and will give you a friendly reminder to bring you glucometer. This allows our clinical staff to have enough information to properly diagnose, treat, and/or prescribe medicine.
